A quick turnaround was required for the refurbishment of this family home which had not been designed or considered previously. The Victorian house had been stripped of all period features, so we wanted to inject some of its lost character, which we did with carefully chosen decorative plasterwork and finishes whilst embracing the more traditional, non-open plan layout of the ground floor.
There was a big emphasis on maximalism, vibrant prints and colours to create a joyful and happy space for this growing young family. A fun but practically designed garden was essentially an extension of the living space with an outdoor kitchen and decking covered hydro pool for hours of child entertainment!
Carefully considered and well-designed bespoke joinery throughout the house was a crucial addition which added to the practicalities of family life, and ensured that every belonging had a home.
A family dream was to install a hydropool into the garden for the children to enjoy year round, so alongside our brilliant garden designer and landscaper, we installed a sliding hard decking cover to enable the garden to be fully utilised when the pool is not in use.
